does anybody know why the pictures on LCD HDTVs looks so much like s*it?
Its probably a trade-off between brightness and quality. HDTV LCD's need many more pixels which lowers the brightness.

What source? DVD?
I have found the image quality of LCD to be superior to all but good CRT screens.
