Did you take readings at the outputs of the power supply while inserting the tape? If you see more than about a 2% dip at any of its outputs, the supply is not fixed.
I cannot be specific to the model you have. It is also possible that the tape is not being properly sensed for proper loading, and therefore it is ejected. There may be something mechanically jamming, and thus the tape is ejected. It is possible that there is some type of fault with the uPC, and therefore there is improper function.
In the end, you may have to replace the combo unit, since there is really no service support for these. I would doubt you can have parts or service information for it.

One person suggested capacitors in the power supply .. nope they all ESR
good i changed the 22-16 np anyway & no go .
Any more ideas ?
