Ford radio parts:

I tried to post this once, but did not see it show up so i did it again.

I have three customer year 2003 ford factory E350 (3C2T-19B132AC) AM/FM/CASSETTE units in for repair all with the same problem. The rotary encoder/switch volume control is self destructing. This unit does not mount by its shaft, but mounts to the face PC board direct. So far, i have found NO source for ford parts now. Any one have a suggestions? If all else fails, its off to Ebay for a core hunt.

which wants to sell the whole set - they claim they do service, perhaps they might clue you in to a parts source.

Can you replace it with something from Digi-Key? It might not be beautiful, but if the customer is faced with $100-$200 to put in a replacement stock or aftermarket radio vs. a $50 repair that looks a little goofy, they might decide that they can stand a little goofiness. Also, if this part fails a lot, replacing it with a stock part might just result in a come-back...

Nope. Called them. No luck. They have mechs, but not the individual parts for fords.
