blown Bob Parker ESR meter.

I wasn't paying attention an tried to get read the ESR on a cap in a hot circuit. Wonder if anyone has made a repair on a smoked Bob Parker ESR meter. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advanced.

AFAIR the literature that came with mine or possibly on the website states that this usually takes out the micro.

Advice is also given to add a pair of inverse parallel rectifier diodes across the terminals to prevent this kind of mishap.

Something about this group annoyed Bob so he does not hang out here much anymore.

He has lots of helpful repair info on his site but I seemed to have lost track of his URL. Shame on me. Anyone got it?

I stock the replacement CPU for this meter, also spare circuit boards, etc. Did you buy the kit from us?
