using Nano-X with kaffe

When starting java AWT, it uses the default toolkit, as defined in kaffe-1.1.6/libraries/javalib/java/awt/Toolkit.java

private static String default_toolkit_name = "gnu.java.awt.peer.gtk.GtkToolkit";

How do I change the default toolkit in my java program? I'm running kaffe on a Nano-X window system and need to use it and no X ad graphical output

thanxs
