Can anyone identify the TOP chip in this picture? I thought it was just an op-amp as it has two analogue voltages going in, one from a "set temperature" pot and one from "iron temperature is" thermistor? but the output seems to be digital.

No, they are deep brown, but every picture of her ends up with bright green glowing eyes. I do have a scary picture of her. My dad is holding her, and it looks like she is ready to tear his finger off. She is my kind of dog, quirky, thinks she is a kid, and will beg for almost any food you are eating.
You're welcome. Its one of the benefits of having uncounted thousands of datasheets stored and indexed on my computer. I just click a button on my browsers toolbar to select the first characters of a part number, and a couple clicks later I can see if I have the data for a lot of different parts. I am trying to collect every current, and as many obsolete data sheets as I can lay my hands on, to make the collection even more useful.
