Seeing reporting of the spy poisoning case in London , the BBC mentions it is used in electronic components. Other than at doping levels or very thin films, is it found as itself or as salts in quantities in any mundane componentry ?

Wikipedia says that Thallium Sulphide can act as an IR detector. Aparently the salt used in rat poison and implicated in the current spy case is Thallium Sulphate.
Also found as a window component on some laser tubes as well as far infrared (FIR) detectors. Normally in the form of thallous sulphate, typically has a red/brown hue and looks a bit like Bakelite from what I found..
