Seeking a cheap simple wire-wrap wire stripper

Hi--

Around 1986 I bought at Radio Shack a little wire stripper for wire wrap wire.

It cost about a dollar and was flat and about 3/4" square. It was basically a flat blade somewhat like a razor blade inside a flat metal frame.

Anybody know where I can find something like that nowadays?

Thanks.

I have one - it came inside the wirewrap tool handle that I bought from RS several years ago. Good luck tracking down another (post WTB here or look on eBay?)

I've always liked these gadgets:

... easy for me to say, since the slump has dropped a lot of them in the local surplus stores.

I don't remember its dimensions exactly, but it was flat, and maybe it did come bundled with the little manual wire-wrapping tool that I got at RS for around $6.

The handle of the tool I bought is not hollow though.

Jameco part number 242835CA. $5.49 The Windows philosophy is perhaps best summed up by the instruction: "To shut down your computer, click on the Start button..."

Okay, I looked at the online picture of Radio Shack 276-1570, and it looks just like the one I bought. Ha ha. I guess I remembered wrong. I just pulled off the end of the handle and found the stripper inside where it has been hiding for 18 years.

The stripper is 1/4" x 1/8" x 1 5/8" and as you say is stowed inside the handle.

Thanks!

The online part number is 242835. Do you have one of these? Is the stripper stored inside the hollow handle of the WW tool?

It looks like jameco is selling something similar to Radio Shack's Part #276-1570, but jameco is charging 2-3 times as much.

I saw a very similar W/W tool with embedded stripper in the Electronics Express catalog recently for ~$15.
