Panasonic TV Problem

Dec 23, 2005 2 Replies

I wonder if someone can help? I have "googled" with all of the key words I can think of....

I have a Panasonic CT-2006SE 20" TV.

The TV works fine, however all of a sudden about two weeks ago, an error message has popped up on the screen. Green letters and figures in the upper left corner of the screen. The form is CHK XXXX (where XXXX is a four digit number) The measly Ops instruction does not address this.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Brian

Were kids playing with the remote? Sounds from what i heard that the set ended up in service mode somehow. Google for "panasonic TV service modes" or similar and some docs will tell how to exit. nvic

Nope, no kids to mess with the remote. I must have tried to so something in the dark.

Hey, you gave me and idea on two key words to search with. service mode.....

That did it on the next google search. The first hit held the solution to my problem.

Thank for that.
