The markup on these meters is very low. It will be very hard to find a big enough differential that will make it worth to shop around. Your UPS cost is weight, distance, and package size dependent.

Some dealers may have a slightly higher operating cost, especialy for the delivery to them, therefore may charge a few dollars more, but the prices will normally be close.

If you find a local dealer near you where you can pick up the meter yourself, you will be able to save the UPS cost to you, if you are pinching for the small amount.

Thanks for the response!

There are numberous local dealers, all quoting MSRP plus 4.5% tax:

859 45-01 749 45 399 189 379 187

The prices noted below are after 20 minutes on Google and almost immediately yielded better numbers. Since I want both 45-01 and 189 a local purchased would be $1314.61, however Circuit Specialist has them for $1153.62 delivered, a difference of $160.99 or 12.25%, certainly worth my time to look.

These prices are about 10% off retail, what makes it's better for me is no sales tax. Yes, it's new equipment with Fluke calibration certificate. I have no idea if it's traceable, I suspect a call to Fluke would be all that's required to verify it.

I ordered my 189 there. Service was courteous, shipment was prompt, and the meter was clearly new in an unopened box.

And, I might add, I think the previous poster should of course refuse to pay anything less than he considers a fair price. Some people, however, believe correct pricing is when a seller is willing to sell something for what a buyer is willing to pay.
