V5 compared to V2P

Jul 31, 2007 2 Replies

I'm looking to update a couple of products from VIIPro to V5 devices. Is there some very rough comparison of the relative logic capabilities of the 2 FPGA ranges somewhere? The redefining of the logic slices and the subsequent adaptation of the capacity figures in the literature have made it harder to compare. So, for example, is the LX30T approximately equivalent to a VP4 or is it as big as a VP20? This is obviously just in terms of the logic capacity and not involving the extra features on V5s.

TIA,

Rog.

Hi Roger, Have you considered taking the designs you have for your existing products and recompiling them into V5? Then you'll know. HTH., Syms.

Roger,

Most of what is in this recently published white paper should be helpful,
