OT: Equipment Uses

Hi All,

This "might" be off topic a bit - but I have a question.

I acquired a Dentists Curing Light and an Almagamator. I don't know a damned thing about them.

1) if they work 2) how to test them aside from plugging in 3) if they "are" indeed worth anything 4) if I would be allowed by law to sell them to anyone. I know some things are regulated by the FDA, State and/or Local laws.

5) If it might be illegal to sell them, is there anything relating to electronics, I could possibly use them for as is - or modified?

Thanks!

The "Dentist's Curing Light" might be an ultraviolet light source. Be sure to use eye protection while using it if that is the case.

The amalgam used by dentists is a silver-mercury mixture(I think). Be aware that mercury by itself is a poison. Check that no mercury is left on the Almagamator.
