New oscilloscope - need >= 1M sample buffer

Sep 19, 2003 2 Replies

Hi!

Our company wants to buy more oscilloscopes, we have for instance the Agilent 54622A and 54624A which are very nice with the so called "Mega Zoom" functionality (4MB I think).

But, as I look around for options to these I find no one in the same price range or hopefully less that offers a big enough sample buffer. How come? Ram is cheap this days, and 4MB is not much.

Does anyone know of oscilloscopes that offer similar zoom features as the Agilents? 100Mhz 2 or 4 channels. We're looking for something up to $3000 or so but preferably up to $2000.

Thanks for your input!

DRAM is cheap. Not SRAM or semicustom SOC SRAM.

Looks at Lecroy : I have a quite old 9350L, and it was already equipped with a 4Mpt buffer...
