Parallels and VMware both have virtual Windows hosting down to the point that Windows aps can be run in floating windows just like Mac native apps. And launch from the Dock. Can control how much memory Windows is allowed, and how many CPUs it can have.
Or possibly we should recognize Microsoft Office as a new life form. Who would have thought the first self-aware machines would have come from an office suite? :-)
