screen-printing on IC

I am wondering why the screen-printing on the top of the IC now is printed in low contrast ink. I remember some years ago when it was printed white on black, or.. I am becoming old and my eye sight is not as good as it used to be.

More likely most are using less ink to save money, making feinter or less bold lettering Failing that difference in reflective properties of different plactics over the years.

Mind you I have found some old stock where the markings have faded!

Colour of ink usually depends on package as ceramic and items with metal plates are normally done using black ink

Most likely situation, like me you are getting old. I often put extra light onto small objects these days to work on them.

yup not only that but they are stamped, with laser stamps, like those little lasers you buy for $2 with the changable heads that make different pictures.
