I failed to find free dll or ActiveX to control signals coming via either parallel or serial port. Could any kind soul give me a link to some ? Thanks

2) Application can access Hardware Ports directly in Win 98 You do not need any kernel driver, dll or active X
3) Here is a free toolset to access the ports but you may run it under Win2000 or XP:

You have a standard ActiveX control that works in Visual Basic, Visual C++ it is called MSCOMM
