I've just got my new MIcrochip Explorer 16 board. Like the earlier dsPIC kits, it uses plug-in modules and came with PIC24 and dsPIC33 devices. I don't think they are officially available yet, unless one can get hold of samples, so it's a good way of getting to play with them.
