Put this together with the recent Freescale acquisition, throw in a dose of Prexient Micro Devices, and you've got all the drama and intrigue of an episode of Dallas.

Prexient

Dallas.

It all reads like there's a nefarious undercurrent coursing through the semi industry. Is that the message you intended to convey?

I have to admit, that Prexient story is wierd. That's the first I've ever heard of a secret company aside from the spook companies that serve the military who really aren't so secret anyway.

JJS

Prexient

Dallas.

What I'm seeing is that equity firms are becoming involved with semiconductor companies and engaging in profiteering. The winners are the fund managers, the losers will be equipment manufacturers that can't buy the semiconductors they need to stay in business. Anyone who has witnesed the heartbeak of small companies thrown out of business because their sole-sourced parts were shut down knows what I'm talking about.

It was spooky talking to them.
