FAE Job Satisfaction

I was just offered a job as an FAE for a local Distributor.

I've been doing Hardware/Software Design for 5 years now. I love what I do, but I'm curious to here from any FAEs about their job.

If you're an FAE:

1) What do you like about your job? 2) What don't you like?

Thanks for your input. EH

Beware - this is not a job with long-term employment prospects. There is a lot of churn, especially at the distri level.

I would have to ask with who? Around here the only FAEs that seem to stay put and like there job are the Future FAEs. The Avnet ones seem fairly happy and the Arrow ones are always looking for a new job. Outside of those three (semi FAEs and other smaller Disties) non last. That should speak for itself, or maybe just my location.

Thanks for all your input.

There must not be many FAE's that read this news group! I've decided to turn down the position, I love playing in the lab a little too much.
