This device was easy to use and accurate. Simply disconnect the loop where it starts after the twisted-wire connection and hook up one part of the loo p to the transmitter--this now turns the loop into an antenna. Walk with th e receiver to follow the underground wire. When you reach the break, the si gnal disappears. Expecting to spend a day finding the break, I was amazed t o accurately locate the break to within 2 inches, dug down (through leaves in the wooded area) and there was the clean cut through the line!
