Hi, MR. I would suppose you're taling about a characteristic of hysteresis curves. Hysteresis is a non-linear characteristic of the relationship between two variables. If you graph one with relation to the other, you see that there is a "circular" relationship. The term "clockwise hysteresis" or "counterclockwise hysteresis" just refers to the circular direction the graph moves in as it's being traced.
