What kind of Solder for SMD please !!!!

Apr 11, 2006 1 Replies

Could some one please point me in the direction of suitable solder type for soldering SMDs and a supplier in UK to get it, (not in 50 or

60 meter of solder length) but a few meters, as I just have to do a few. Thanks.

--- For hand-soldering I use a Kester 186 flux pencil and 0.015" or

0.032" diameter Sn63 Kester with a "44" rosin core.

In the UK I'm sure you have Ersin Equivalents. Google "Ersin" and I'm sure you can find their distribution chain.

I don't think you'll be able to find just a few meters for sale, but maybe you can get some samples?

If you can't, I'm sure someone over there will have pity on you and mail you some, for free...

If not, email me and I will.
