Would it be easy to reverse a linear alternator into a pulsating linear motor assuming the right input frequency?
It doesn't have to be all that efficient in motor mode.

Maybe put 2 hertz ac to a shake light coil.

I would be thinking in terms of a woofer with the cone removed.
