Methinks you\'ve discovered the Kelvin connection. JF

A power supply with zero or negative output resistance is ancient history. But remote sensing is a more common way to ensure that the voltage *at the load* is stiff.

Interestingly, many simple buck switching regulators have negative output impedances; I'm not sure why.
