making something for the first time

hi i have to convert 50V analog at 100KHz to 50V digital at 100KHz, so i need help, like how do i proceed what is in my mind is to step down the voltage 50V to the one that can be fed to an A to D converter IC and then may be i can then use a DC-DC amplifier to bring the voltage to

50V, and will i need a frequency conversion also in between. i would appreciate your help. regards

Impossible! Minimal sampling rate is twice the frequency of the source. Actually you want to recreate a known function by sampling it and rebuilding from samples. Simplest would be to build (or buy) an old HP vacuum tube oscillator at

100Khz and take the output from a tap on output cirquit. But if we are in this game then: a) Is the sampled quantity 'perfectly' defined as to waveform and frequency then there is no need to sample. b) If the sampling is for finding 'imperfections' then the sampling has to be fast enough to find and record those faults. c) Now you have to rebuild it in the D/A portion and amplify to whatever level you want. (Did you think about calibrating signal to tune all stages from input to output for linear response?)

What are talking about? To amplify the digital numbers on output of a/d sampler to 50V level. What for? You feed those numbers to d/a, both of them clocked by common clock and this keeps the frequency in sync.

a schmitt trigger rated for those voltages would do it.... but possibly not what the OP wants...
