Can any one tell me if CSA listed is the equivalent to UL Listed for electric home generators?

CSA applies in Canada, UL in the USA.

CSA is Canadian Standards Association. UL (Underwriters Laboratories) is a (primarily) US organisation.

** If I interpret you Q correctly - then yes.
The safety rules applied by each organization are very similar.
The unit is safe to use.
But the approvals are not simply interchangeable for legal purposes.
