I recently had a bad 2hp treadmill motor replaced. For some reason the replacement motor is 2.5hp. There is a noticeable difference in the treadmill speed with the new motor. For example, when I set the treadmill to 4 mph the speed according to my rough calculations is now a little over 3 mph with the larger motor.
Is this the result that would be expected if the control board is set up for a smaller motor or should the larger motor be the same or even faster?
Sorry for the basic questions, I am just trying to be informed when I call the technician about the problem with the repair that was made.
Thanks in advance,
Jim
