I need to power a Bill Changer acceptor. This is just the part the accepts the bills. It requires +5VDC, +12VDC, -12VDC AND 6VAC. These voltages all have the same single ground wire. How do I recreate this on my bench? I can do the DC with my bench power supply and I have a separate AC power supply but how do I get them together so that I can power up these acceptor? I am a little confused on this one. Thanks Russ

If your 6V AC supply is from a transformer with isolated primary and secondary, just connect one side of the 6V output to the common ground line of the DC supplies.
Can your bench supply give out all three DC voltages at the same time? If not, you might consider using a computer PSU which has all three outputs with a common ground.

If the output of your AC supply is floating, like the secondary of an isolation transformer, just tie one of the output terminals to the ground terminal of your DC supply: (View in Courier:

Correction: John's post reminded me that I forgot to include the -12V line in my diagram.
Yes, I have a triple output bench PS and can do the 12VDC, -12VDC and
5VDC from there, and I do have an isolation transformer a Sencore PR570 so I can get it to do the 6VAC. So if I tie on of the 6VAC lines to the grounds from the 12VDC, -12VDC and 5VDC Triple bench supply and then that should do it? I will give it a try. Thank you very much. RussJoin the Discussion
