LPT to IDE

Ciao a tutti,

qualcuno ha voglia di dare un occhio a questo schema? lo ricopiato da un vecchio dispositivo che o trovato ma era un po' danneggiato quindi sto cercando di rifarlo! ho fatto direttamente il PCB perche' non avevo i siboli su fidocad o non gli ho visti io!

praticamente vorrei collegare un mio vecchio hard disk e anche un vecchio cdrom al mio portatile e anche al mio pc desk!

una domanda il pc l'hard disk o lettore cd rom lo riconosce subito tramite porta parallela? ho nel caso del mio vecchio pc portatile devo installare qualche drive dedicato sotto dos/windows?

Non lo riconosce affatto Senza un bel po' di elettronica non =E8 possibile l'interfacciamento hardware. L'interfacciamento software richiederebbe un driver specifico piuttosto complesso. L'adattatore che hai in mano effettua semplicemente un adattamento di standard meccanico. IMHO non =E8 nemmeno un adattatore da standard meccanico LPT a standard meccanico EIDE: lo standard meccanico LPT ha

25poli (IBM) o 36poli (Centronics), il tuo adattatore ha 50poli!!?

infatti la risposta me la sono data da solo quando ho visto il datasheet delle porte in questione, perchè una ide equivale a due parallela, quindi se volessi interfacciare la ide su lpt dovrei usare dei demultiplexer e multiplexer per interfacciare il tutto, e in piu dovrei crearmi dei drive che mi gestiscano la scheda di interfacciamento, ecco i drive per me sono un problema, ultimamente sto studiando Visual Basic (mi serve per avanzare di livello ha lavoro :P) magari appena imparo un po bene risolvero il problema per il momento mi devo ingegnare a creare questa interfaccia senza pero l'aiuto di un micro (non preoccupatevi non usereo vb per programmare il micro ma solo per creare un drive per windows per il micro usero l'assembly ^_^), anche se sarebbe piu comodo per la gestione degli indirizzi dei plexer ^_^!

per lucky, dopo una notte insonne passata davanti al pc, ho scoperto che la porta in questione è una SCSI (quando lo trovato ieri lo confusa per una lpt perche assomigliava a quella su una stampante, e non avevo controllato i piedini) quindi inadatta da un certo lato per quello che vorrei fare io, tra le tante cose che ho trovato la piu curiosa e che si puo interfacciare la PCMCIA sia con IDE che con SCSI quindi il mio vecchi portatile 486 tornerà a funzionare per qualche esperimento in merito, il problema sarà, il portatile riconoscerà un vecchio hard disk da 1,2 giga tramite PCMCIA? secondo me si se gestisco i drive standard come memoria di massa mha e tutto da sperimentare vi faro sapere sempre se trovo il connettore PCMCIA dal mio pusher di elettronica hehehe ^_^

Si, la PCMCIA dovrebbe essere facilmente interfacciabile con una IDE.
