I use to be able to graph complex impedances in rectangular form on the Smith chart in Genesys, but now it only seems to want to display them in polar coordinates. Any thoughts?

Hmm? A Smith chart is a polar plot (of reflection coefficient or whatever). Are you saying you have an impedance that you're like to plot on a Smith chart? In that case the simplest thing is to probably covert your impedances to reflection coefficients ( (Zl-R0)/(Zl+R0), where R0 is your reference resistance) and tell Genesys to plot that. You can do this in the "equations" window on a single line by creating a new variable equal to the preceding formula, substituting the name of your dataset for Zl.

Perhaps you'd prefer to just graph R+jX using a pair of rectangular graphs instead of a Smith chart?
Let me know if you can't get this working... I'm back at work now and the software is here...
