What's a practical lower limit for supply voltage?

Hmm. Has not happened to me just yet. Don't know if it's still a possibility.

I have a Ruud water heater from Feb'23, and read its instructions. No mention of a reset button or need. This may have disappeared into the pilot relight process.

We have an 80-gallon Rheem (great for long hot showers) with the Honeywell Frankenstat.

California is outlawing gas appliances so I'll replace it before the deadline, and maybe buy a spare. We'll still have hot water after the electric grid collapses.

San Francisco is hilly and has multiple reservoirs and cisterns in high spots, so we get gravity-fed water.

We have a 50 gallon unit, as there wasn't space for an 80-gallon unit. But it's fine for the two of us.

Mass has not done this. They would like to, but too many voters could not afford this, and are far less tolerant of such things now days. Only the big cities and universities are Blue, the rest is Red.

We get our water from big reservoirs at a reasonable altitude above, but far outside the city.
