I just bought a Kenwood car stereo KDC-MP205 from Best Buy (on salefor $79.99, no I don't work for them, nor do I currently own Best Buystock), mainly for the detachable face and .mp3 playback features thatmy old car stereo didn't have. (Plus, it was at least $20 cheaperthan it usually goes for.)I tried to take it apart, but they sure don't make it easy (and afterscratching one of the tabs with my screwdriver, I decided to stop,just in case something was wrong with it and I'd void the warranty).The chip looked something like this, peeking into a crevice:Would Kenwood use an LM4780? If not, what kind of audio IC would theyuse?Also - I don't have the Kenwood manual on me, but IIRC it was rated at1% THD, which I thought seemed kind of high.FWIW, it sounds fine, just the menus are fairly complex to navigate.(At least, compared to my old Kenwood KDC-122P.)Thanks,Michael
