Old news here in OZ, don't the authorities publish or propogate the info on how the infection is spread in your area?
No, they're worthless.
As you can tell from the way the new case per day numbers in the US hasn't moved down much below 30,000 since the 4th April.

Yesterday's number was 26,692, which is the kind of number that John Larkin sees as promising, but places that can manage the epidemic can get the number down down by a factor of ten or twenty in that kind of time.
