Twisted Pair

Yeah, and if you apply enough power, you'll melt the copper. That's nonlinear.

Nickel oxide makes tunnel junctions really easily. Unlike copper oxide, it works quite literally from DC to daylight.

That sort of thing matters in connectors used in cell towers and such, where PIM levels like -160 dB are expected. Apparently there are magnetic effects in platings, as well as contact stuff.

It's not a proxy I use. But then I do know how my name is spelled on my bir th certificate and my passport, and in my publications in the peer-reviewed literature.

The Decadent Linux User and Maynard A. Philbrook Jnr. may have to work hard er at keeping their identities organised.

Anyone remember the quite amusing thread here 10 years ago.....?

It was some guy that posted questions and then had created another alias an d he answered the same question he had previously asked. Some clever guy tr acked down the IP route and same origin and he effectively disappeared from that point on.

Not until Decadent Linux User spells out which alias he was using back then - so we can get his current information provider to throw him off the web for his past misdeeds.

But you can't explain what it was that you think I missed - or may have cho sen to ignore. Like the Decadent Linux User - who may be you for all we kno w - you want to claim a victory without providing any evidence to support y our claim.

So I'm supposed to lie about my location to make Australia look better? We've already got Phil Allison, but the US has krw, Jim Thompson and James Arthur. Even the Netherlands has Jan Panteltje.

That is why folks here place ZERO credence in ANY of your pathetic attempts at making hypotheses.

Your logic is planted firmly at nil.

mpts at making hypotheses.

That does sound like the sort of output you'd expect from a 12-year-old.

Interesting use of the word "logic" - consistent with the kind of mistake a 12-year-old would make.

Your response indicates you have that feeling of loosing the battle of wits? It's a good thing I don't like battling with an unarmed man, Slow- Man..

its?

There's no battle going on here. Your pathetic reaction merely indicates t hat you are bluffing, and lack the wit to know when to fold.

I don't have any such inhibitions. I'm happy to lay out the bait that the h alf-witted can rise to, and reel them in after they've taken the hook.

Just ran across a formula for twisted pair appearing on a single ppt slide. Formula predicts for ANY cable, requires dimensions and dielectric constants, and looks good; will send that to you, too.
