Yeah, that's an extreme case. Normally the numbers don't divide evenly so it's not *that* obvious. It is surprising that the brainless twit behind the counter couldn't put it together, though (sell one, eat the other ;).
Maybe he was smart and hoped that the customer was dumb.

Another scam is grocery stores pricing liters of soda so you have to buy 4 or 5 to get the discount. They display the discount price in large print and the conditions in small print so most shoppers won't see the details. Sometimes I pick up a liter of soda at 89 cents and get charged $1.29 so I learned to read the fine print. Once, I picked up a liter of RC cola marked down to 59 cents and studied the fine print closely to be sure I didn't have to buy 5. Turned out the sale was for "Royal Crown Cola 10" and not "RC Cola" so I was charged full price at $1.77 or whatever. And they mark down all the meat prices, everything is on sale every day. I asked the butcher why the marked down meat prices were higher than prices at the local Hispanic store and he said it was because Von's was a union shop and sold higher grade meats I wonder if that applies to vegetables and tortillas? .

He isn't paid to be smart. Obviously.
Don't. It's the worst 'food' you can put in your body. Just buy a cold sweet watermelon if you're thirsty.

Yeah, no sugar in watermelon.
Well, no remanufactured corn syrup.
I restrict my soda intake to a couple ounces per week, 50:50 diluted with rum.

That is so funny! BRL! (Belly Roll Laugh) or (Bonghit Release Laugh)
ANyway, BRL! (Types I & II) for that.
If sugar were so deadly, I would have been dead decades ago. I eat about 12 grams of cane sugar a day alone, and that doesn't count the crumb doughnut. Guys and girls both hate me, because I can eat tons of anything and not gain weight... to speak of. BRL! (I do not even have a belly roll, so it is always type II for me usually. I think we should abandon "LOL". I always thought that one to be pretty lame.
There are many kinds of sugar, not all of them being sweet tasting, not all being edible.

You really are an idiot, AlwaysWrong.
Oh, good grief. You're as bad as AlwaysWrong.
So who made the rules?
You honestly think the clerk hs a choice?

But it's *good* rum.
Safeway Select Cola is better than Coke, for mixing with rum.

No such thing.
Clorox tastes better.
Lately I'm enjoying grapefruit juice mixed with pomegranate juice (60/40) diluted 50% with crushed ice and water. Drink it through straw. Just seems to hit the spot. Mikek

Liquid candy.
I made some measurements some years ago. Actual fruit sequesters the sugar until your stomach mechanically breaks the fruit down. Liquid candy and juice shoot straight through, causing a massive blood glucose impulse, overshoot, undershoot, then massively damped recovery.
Kinda rough on ye ol' pancreas, vasculature, etc.
Cheers, James Arthur
Than Coke, no. Than rum, you bet! That stuff is vile!
