Gotta love the symmetry.

But is it sour cream, whipped cream, or yogurt?

Whipped cream, made in seconds with my immersion mixer. I love that machine.

I was just loading my waffle in the usual way (1 waffle, 4 banana slices, 16 blueberries, 1 dollop of whipped cream) and my wife said "You should photograph that."

The other day I stopped at Marie Callenders for a slice of creamcheese pie with fruit sauce; the fruit sauce had mulberries, both red and black! It's been like 50 years since I've had a mulberry - back in the 1950's, we had a house on a wooded lot with wild mulberry trees. Mom also used to let me tag along when she went in the woodsy part of the lot and picked wild asparagus.

I think I'm gonna go and have some creamcheese pie and mulberry sauce for lunch. :-)

I don't think I've ever had a mulberry. We didn't have them in New Orleans.

There are lots of blackberries in San Francisco, and I know where a lot of them are.

I didn't know you could buy mulberries. I used to eat them off the trees, all summer.

I used to live on Blackberry Road. ;-) I don't much care for them, though. Good thing, the birds knew when they were ripe well before people.

I've a couple of volunteer mulberries in the small yard here. They're a good early fruit for the critters, with their season almost over by the end of May, early June. Tried a couple recipes with them but they are so very fragile. They look like blackberries but, when ripe, fall apart almost at a touch. Lots of purple bird poop around the yard, though...

Yep, that's the one; purple poop. Fortunately, it wasn't our tree. ;-)
