Thanks, I believe the graph was Figure 5, page 4.

I originally saw this graph as a full page, the last page, of a ferrite vendor's hardprint catalog. Big compnay at the time, like ferroxcube, or such.

That was the one I suggested. I had a hard copy but didn't want to violate a copyright.

I think covering 80% of the rod is a bit excessive. Looking at his chart, you are getting quite deep into the diminishing returns part of the curve. Thus you are gaining parallel C will not adding much L.

Miso, thank you for responding. I deleted all the postings and couldn't get them back: Figure 5 is based upon reference 14, which is Fair-Rite!!!

That's the book! it's a tourquoise(sp?) colored book with embossed silver lettering, large at 8 by 11? and around 3/16 inch thick. In the back of that book is a full page print of Figure 5.
