I just had thought while cooking a pop tart. the wrapper is made of mylar. Could you use a wrapped pop tart as the toroid for a tesla coil? would it cook it? Any body willing to try this?

If you cut the ends off, you would have a 1-turn secondary "coil".
Andy suggests:
Put it in a microwave with a cup of water and cook on high till the water boils. If the material doesn't heat up, it should be OK for use around RF.
Tesla coils are not toroidal.
