source for jacketed 2 and 3 conductor high strandcount cables?

Hi there - I'm working on a new design that will need 2 and 3 conductor jacketed 18 AWG cables that use really high strandcount conductors. Sure - plenty of companies are more than willing to make some for me - but surely somebody actually makes this as a standard product? I'm hoping for ~40AWG strand size. The stuff I'm seeing is about 30AWG.

Thanks!

At 18 AWG you are going to have a hard time finding MTW. But that is the closest standard product. Are you sure that you cannot step up to 12 or 14 AWG?

Our connectors (Molex Mini-Fit Jr.) are rated for a maximum of 16 AWG cable - so that'd be pushing it. We could probably do 14 - but that's also alot of extra weight to be adding - and we're trying to keep this project as lightweight as possible.

Run down to your local guitar/music store. This sounds similar to the stuff they use for balanced input microphone cables.
