I suspect polyurethane won't handle the molten solder temperature. It might melt, decompose and displace.. I could be wrong..
Well whatdayahknow...right beside me is a spray can of Dupli Color Engine paint with a claim of 260C handling.
Typical Sn/Pb solder melts around 183C.

I've used it on single sided boards (thru-hole only, no surface mount) after everything was mounted. The link suggests applying the enamel to the etched board and soldering through it. Haven't tried that ...
