Hello,What happens to the charge in a polar liquid when it is no longer in the electric field that charged it? As in "flowing past charged plates".Bill Martin

Or stairstep the drive voltage to the inductor such as to program the inductor current any way you like. It gets more interesting when you start looking at Miller effects. But the general idea is that an inductor in the gate, and a smart driver, might reduce gate driver losses.
