I use one of these: On occasion, I'll walk out of the house without my cell phone. About the time I get to the door the headset will lose the Bluetooth link and the headset will buzz. I then know I've forgotten my phone. Perhaps you could do something similar with some sort of a fob on her key ring.

Easiest done by making the pulses na rrow & driving it through a resistor. I have no idea why anyone would use a computer to do that.

t my objection was to the use of an arduino. A lot of folk will use an ardu ino just to sharpen a pencil.

I've got a BLE dongle (Nut smart tag) attached to my keys. If I get too far away from my keys, my phone beeps. You can also configure the tag to beep on connection loss.

Using button on tag or app in the phone, you can also make the counterpart beep to find it from your pocket.

s.e.d info is that it runs nRF51, which you can program for your own purposes if you need BLE functionality attached somewhere. This was my original use for them, but after trying the actual functionality I bought a few more!

put a PostIt on the steering wheel with written : "PHONE!"

The reason why many men get themselves into trouble in relationships is because they believe their girlfriends/wives want to be treated like queens and endlessly pampered/provided for. Some women are like that; in my experience the majority are not. Most women have nurturing instincts and like any person want to feel like they're useful, helpful, and have direction and purpose in their lives. Trying to press her into the role of Goddess is, in the long run, very likely to make her desperately unhappy.

Post-sexual revolution sex is basically free, there's little reason to get into a long-term relationship for that aspect. When thinking about a long term relationship men should spend a little time qualifying _her_ and what her other skills and traits beyond just looking good are, rather than vice versa. I mean, have a little self-esteem - I definitely expect more out of a relationship than just her showing up. Great cooking ability and say, proofreading my writing would be nice for a start.

And if your SO gets miffed that you won't build them some complex engineering widget gratis and threatens to leave, then you should tell her to go with your blessings and be thankful you got rid of a crazy person so easily.

Buy her a new car with keyless remote. Glue the remote to the remote. Or build a new phone with car remote. Can't start the car without the phone. Or s*it, i was going to pattern the idea.

I'm sure a computer could get the job done, but it's still a mad kludge. If you want to go all overkill at least make it look good or be interesting somehow, like some bizarre mechanism.
