Right: neither is a workable substitute for thinking and understanding.
Or for posting a circuit that actually works.

What exactly is "embedded in a power train railways"??? How is this indicator to be read. A battery might be out of the question but a PV cell, such as those used in battery-less calculators, may be workable:
Keep your application a secret and harvest dumb proposals.
There's no such thing.

Have you ever heard that sound "Tchou ... tchou ... tchou !!!" like in old western cow boys movies ;-) but nowadays the powertrain is electric.
Photovoltaic cell is not relevant in this area ... too fragile, too expensive, no long term component support ... etc, etc, etc.
Best regards, Habib.
You should know.
You don't know your ass from a hole in the ground...
There is it at least one thread on SED from 2010 on the subject of "inverse Marx generator" and you didn't have much to contribute to the discussion back then either. Maybe you can find something on EEWeb...
I am one of those engineers. Somewhere around here I have a picture of myself at about age 6 in the cab of a _real_ C&O locomotive ;-) ...Jim Thompson
Maynard did note, and Maynard had nothing to say about it.
Which does not mean anything, so don't get your nickers in a twist!
My math skills are just fine, and for simulations, I could create a circuit in spice to have such behavior. My point was, spice does not know about this behavior, at least Ltspice does not and if there is a directive to have spice process the effect, then please let me know.
Jamie
THAT would be _very_ interesting...and useful!
*** BUT..one could be built with proper ingenuity.

I modified someone else's model... their attempt at aiding convergence made the results invalid... this works...

There are lots of IC boost/buck converters that work by switching capacitors between series and parallel. Those are essentially Marx and inverse Marx topologies.
But i could easily recognize an asshole by their contributions ... and you are a specimen.
Habib.
Freddy has good days and bad days, mostly the latter.
No reasonable person would be interested in your lame assessment, especiall y with your non-existent skill set in electronics. You're just a BS'er unti l you explain "embedded in a power train railways"- which could mean anyth ing. You're probably talking about model RR hobby.
Yes of course with 3 KV power line ;-)
Seriously you blogger and few others here are just fun to suggest me to embed a solar cell in such stringent environnement ... therefore an ass... you are and will always be.
Habib.
OK, expect some severe transients. Do *not* have an all-semiconductor path from HV to ground. And analyze what happens when parts short out.
