Hey, I was just wondering if anyone had ever come across a schematic for one of the 20 second recorder/playback module from radio shack with the 9v battery power supply. I'd like to make a bunch of them for a project, but don't want to spring for them seeing as they are overpriced. I also prefer to do the layout differently.

Hmm, aren't those things based on DAST?
Too bad they're NLA from digikey.
But what you can do is call Digikey with this number and have them dig around for you for a similar, stocked item.
Check out the ISD4003 or ISD4004 product line at Digikey. Re-search on the manufacturer as they have some smaller, less capable, chips. ..some with pushbutton activation.
