I saw a prototype and it had a lot of sharp metal seams that looked dangerous to me. I though they would be fixed in the production version. Apparently not.
I think this toad will have the PT Cruiser Effect. Once everybody who wants an ugly car has one, sales stop.
Since about the time I was born, whoever owns the Chrysler brand doesn't know what to do with Chrysler and is always in the process of throwing a hail Mary to try to save the brand.
The PT Cruiser was one of the more successful Marys, also unlike the Cybertruck it only cost the equivalent of about $28k base price when it debuted.
At least in a PT Cruiser you can pretend to be Jimmy Cagney while you wait for it to get out of its own way.
They would have sold a lot more if they’d had a decent engine, even as an option.

I think Elon was into the mushrooms and drew something on a napkin a few years ago, said he was going to build it, and simply refused to reconsider. The thing is colossally repugnant.
OTOH, I had a PT Cruiser. I liked the "retro" feel and I was very happy with it. Chevy's clone of the Cruiser probably would have been appealing too, if it hadn't been an obvious clone.
2500lbs so a little more than an F-150 Lightning, which as far as I can tell is comparable in both weight and price
but does it matter, don't most truck never carry anything?
