Re: I want to start a new political Party

I would suggest that most people support the ideas that Mitt has.

16 trillion in debt is wrong.

Spending $1.40 for every $1.00 collected in taxes is wrong.

Allowing non citizens to cross the boarder unimpeded is wrong.

Giving illegals hard earned taxpayer money is wrong.

Giving illegals amnesty is wrong.

Buying votes by giving hard earned taxpayer money to support union workers earning *$55.00 per hr is wrong. Basically taking money from those earning 40% to 60% less so unions can continue their high wages. A normal legal bankruptcy would not have shut down the auto company, they could have renegotiated contracts and brought costs down. Then I could have afforded anew car. Nah!

Abortion, don't change existing law. (controversial, I took it as, don't change existing law, but he did waffle trying to save his conservative base)

If it weren't for buying the union vote and supporting the illegals the election outcome would have been different. Still about evenly divided but on the right course.

No Doubt, we got problems.

*As David Leonhardt pointed out in the New York Times (countering, in a sense, the earlier piece by Sorkin ($70)), the average GM, Ford and Chrysler worker receives compensation ? wages, bonuses, overtime and paid time off ? of about $40 an hour. Add in benefits such as health insurance and pensions and you get to about $55

Ah there is someone who mostly agrees with Bill Sloman. Perhaps I should pay closer attention.................. No, on second thought I will go back to reading the on topic posts and ignoring the off topic stuff.

Why would you have to switch back and forth? Windows, Linux , and Apple all have ways to select the keyboard layout. I have not looked but suspect that all the smart phones also can change the keyboard layout.

Way back when I had a job, the computer manager really didn't want me doing anything to the company computers, and today my wife uses my computer from time to time - hers is actually a work computer, and those computer managers are no less throttle-bottomed than mine were - and she wouldn't appreciate having to cope with a Dvorak key layout.

Hmmm. Not many smiles in that group. Reminds me of American Gothic:

Somewhere I have a photo of my grandparents Thompson that could be the original American Gothic.

My wife and I use the same computer. When she logs on , the keyboard layout is a Sholes keyboard. When I log on the keyboard is a Dvorak keyboard. No fuss, no bother. _ You really are not messing with the computer. You are just selecting personal preferences. The IT group at work did not care. It is about as big a deal as selecting the mouse preferences or the cursor blink rate.

My wife has never bothered to exploit her separate login - it's more fuss and bother than she'd be prepared to put up with.

You seem to have had saner computer managers than the places where I've worked.
