Looking at recent additions, about the strongest single led puts out about

1000 lumens at near 9 watts, cool. White. It would be advantage to use color LEDs not requiring filters, but the higher output ones only produce 150-200 lumens. The only true way to get a single spot with multiple LEDs is with fiber optics. It is possible to focus multiple LEDs, but it's tricky, and you end up with a large device.
