In the sense of being able to dig out your official identity.
In the sense of being able to work out where you are at, they do have to cope with being brought up in the U.S.A., which will make it difficult for them to appreciate that there is a whole spectrum of left-wing views between what passes for unelectable lunatic left in the USA and the unelectable lunatic left in Europe. In the Netherlands the party I support is in the government, and there is a more left wing party - the Socailist Party - which currently holds 25 seats in the 150 seat lower house (roughly equivalent to the US house of representatives) so they are decidedly electable.
Jim - poor dear - thinks that I exhibit "extreme anti-American behavior" and while the professionals in Homeland Security can't afford to set their thresholds that low (otherwise they be inundated in fale positives), they still have the problem that they are trying to understand an exotic and unfamiliar political environment.
