By 'suppliers', I meant the people actually putting together the magnetics for production, like Coiltronics, Pulse, XFMRS, etc. The people making the cores often don't know much about how they're used and so on. You'll pickup bits of knowledge like "we prefer ETD39 over such and such core because we can get it bobbins for it from many suppliers.." or "we're using 100K/month of EFD19, but we hardly ever see orders for EFD17...". I just made up those examples, but you get the idea. Paul Mathews
