I am interesting in how the input part of this circuit is made, that I am doing is a circuit with a PIC that show to display the number selected, scope is for educational purposes.

Thank you

Umberto

At first it is enought only tab the number, the important thing is that the phone is powered by a telephone line, the system could have the supply separated from it.

About the telephone working, you get me an idea for the next project.

These might help:

Its basic on hook, off hook. To send the numbers. See

Cheers

That's DTMF. not pulse.

For pulse you watch the "switch hook" outut of the SLIC, from there it's all timing and counting.

If you want to tap the line nstead of interface with the SLIC watch the line voltage, be prepared to withstand 90VAC ring voltage.
